This book is the second volume of the book [A \(C_p\)-theory problem book. Topological and function spaces. Berlin: Springer (2011; Zbl 1222.54002)]. This volume, devoted to special properties of function spaces, is divided into four chapters: 1. Duality theorems and properties of function spaces, 2. Solutions of problems 001--500, 3. Bonus results: some hidden statements, 4. Open problems, followed with 300 bibliographic items. The main material is given in the first two chapters. Chapter 1 contains statements of 500 carefully selected problems of different levels of difficulty, from relatively easy exercises to deep fundamental results in the field. It is divided in five sections, each with 100 problems. The concise beginning of each section contains definitions of topics used in that section. All problems from Chapter 1 are completely solved in Chapter two. There are numerous useful digressions, called facts, in solutions of many problems in which the reader can discover various new ``subproblems'' forming a sort of complementary material. Facts are also supplied with detailed, rigorous proofs. The first two chapters cover almost all, up to date relevant results on \(C_p\)-theory and its relationships with other fields of mathematics closely related to this theory, such as descriptive set theory, topological algebra and functional analysis. Of course, the choice of the presented material, as always, reflects the author's preferences and research interests in this field in which he has a considerable number of nice contributions. Chapter 3 contains 100 hidden topological results that have been proved in solutions of problems in Chapter 2. Chapter 4 brings 100 open problems and may be considered as an invitation to new researchers to work in this mathematical discipline. Let me mention that some problems are very difficult and maybe need some quite new ideas and advanced techniques for their solutions. I hope that this problem book will become one of the table books for all researchers interested in \(C_p\)-theory and its relations with other fields of mathematics.
