The author considers statistical properties of a random billiard system. More precisely, the study the randomness results for the motion of a special hard disc, at the moment when the billiard particle hits other boundary components of the billiard table. The \(n\)-iteration of the random billiard map can be obtained by composition of \(n\)-discrete billiard maps. The proof of the main results benefits from a condition formulated recently by \textit{S. Gouëzel} [Ann. Probab. 38, No. 4, 1639--1671 (2010; Zbl 1207.60026)] under which the almost sure invariance principle holds for certain stochastic processes. To check Gouëzel's condition, the author proves the exponential memory loss, using coupling methods similar to that used in [the author et al., Commun. Math. Phys. 322, No. 3, 909--955 (2013; Zbl 1304.37024)], which is the most crucial part of the paper. The averaged (or annealed) central limit theorem and the vector-valued almost sure invariance principle are proved for stochastic processes generated by this random billiard systems.
