A Banach algebra \(A\) is said to be strict if the multiplication map \(A\otimes A\to A\) is continuous with respect to the injective tensor norm on \(A\otimes A\). The homological study of strict Banach algebras was initiated by \textit{E. Sh. Kurmakaeva} [Math. Notes 55, No. 3, 1 (1994); translation from Mat. Zametki 55, No. 3, 76--83 (1994; Zbl 0835.46061)]. In the paper under review, the author proves the following additivity formula for the strict global dimension: \(\text{dg}(A\check{\otimes}C(K))=\text{dg}(A)+2\), whenever \(A\) is a unital strict Banach algebra and \(K\) is the one-point compactification of a discrete space of sufficiently large cardinality. Here \(\text{dg}\) stands for the strict global dimension, and \(\check{\otimes}\) stands for the injective tensor product.
