Let \(X\) be a complex Banach space. An operator \(A\in{\mathcal L}(X)\) is said to be \(m\)-idempotent if there exists a positive integer \(m\) such that \(p(A)=0\), where \(p(z)=z(z-1)\dots(z-m)\). There is given the decomposition assertion which expresses the \(m\)-idempotent operators in terms of idempotent (\(\equiv 1\)-idempotent) operators. Suppose that \(A\in{\mathcal L}(X)\) and that the operators \(I+nA\) are invertible for all positive integers \(n\). Denote \[ R_{A}=\{ T\in{\mathcal L}(X): \sup_{n\geq 1} \| (I+nA)T(I+nA)^{-1}\| <\infty. \] The paper contains a description of \(R_{A}\) for the case of an \(m\)-idempotent operator \(A\). It is proved that \(R_{A}\), for a non-scalar \(m\)-idempotent operator \(A\), has a non-trivial invariant subspace.
