The authors theoretically study the renormalization of inertial effects on the spin dependent transport of conduction electrons in a semiconductor by taking into account the interband mixing on the basis of the so-called \(\vec k\cdot\vec p\) perturbation theory. There an \(8\times8\) Kane model [\textit{R.\ Winkler}, Spin-orbit coupling effects in two-dimensional electron and hole systems. Springer (2003)] is considered, which includes the \(\vec k\cdot\vec p\)-coupling between one conduction band (\(\Gamma_6\)) and two valence bands (\(\Gamma_7, \Gamma_8\)). In the analysis, for the generation of the spin current, the extended Drude model is used, where the spin-orbit coupling, i.e.\ the perturbation, plays an important role. An enhancement of the spin current by the renormalized spin-orbit coupling is obtained for cubic and non-cubic crystals. The authors tabulate the ratios of spin currents in an accelerating system with and without \(\vec k\cdot\vec p\) perturbation in case of semiconductors with cubic symmetry (GaAs, AlAs, InSb, InAs). For orthorombic crystals, they derive an expression for the ratio of the spin Hall conductivity to the charge conductivity. Attention has been paid to clarify the importance of gauge fields in the spin transport of the inertial system. A theoretical proposition of a perfect spin filter has been done through the Aharonov-Casher like phase corresponding to the inertial system. This filter works, without any external electric field, on the basis of an external magnetic field and the acceleration of the charge carriers. For a time dependent acceleration, the effect of the \(\vec k\cdot\vec p\) perturbation on the spin current and spin polarization has also been addressed. Furthermore, the achievement of a tounable source of polarized spin current through the non-uniformity of the inertial spin-orbit coupling strength has been discussed.
