The subject of this article is the representation of real number by means of the continued fraction expansion in terms of an irrational number \(\theta \in (0,1)\). Let \(\theta\) be a fixed irrational number in \((0,1)\). Let \(x:=[a_0\theta;a_1\theta,\dots,a_n\theta]\) be the finite continued fraction expansion and \(x:=[a_0\theta;a_1\theta,\dots]\) the infinite continued fraction expansion of \(x\) with respect to \(\theta\). This continued fraction is treated as the following dynamical system \(([0,\theta],\mathcal{B}_{[0,\theta]},\gamma_\theta,T_\theta)\), where \(\mathcal{B}_{[0,\theta]}\) denotes the \(\sigma\)-algebra of all Borel subset of \([0,\theta]\), \(\gamma_\theta\) is probability measure on \(([0,\theta],\mathcal{B}_{[0,\theta]})\): \[ \gamma_\theta:=\frac{1}{\log(1+\theta^2)}\int_A \frac{\theta dx}{1+\theta x}, \qquad A\in \mathcal{B}_{[0,\theta]}, \] and \(T_{\theta}\) is the transformation \[ T_\theta(x):=\begin{cases} \frac{1}{x}-\theta \left\lfloor\frac{1}{x\theta} \right\rfloor, & \text{if } x \in (0,\theta), \\ 0, & \text{if } x=0. \end{cases} \] A Gauss-Kuzmin-type theorem is the main result of this paper.
