The authors apply the Galerkin method to solve the first-order hyperbolic problem \[ a \nabla u + c u= f, \qquad u|_{d\Omega^{-}}=g, \] on a bounded domain \(\Omega\subseteq \mathbb R^{3}\) with the boundary \( \partial\Omega= \partial \Omega^{-}\bigcup \partial \Omega^{+}\bigcup \partial \Omega^{0}\), where \(\Omega^{-}\) and \(\Omega^{+}\) are, respectively, the inflow and outflow part of \( \Omega \). The error analysis of this method on the regular tetrahedral meshes in the domain \(\Omega\) use the following enriched polynomial spaces \[ {L}_{p}=P_{p}\bigcup \mathrm{span}(\xi^{p+1-i} \zeta^{i}, \;i= 0,1,2,\dots,p+1), \] where \( P_{p}\) to belong to a system of Jacobi polynomials. The local convergence of approximate solutions has the order \( O(h^{p+2})\) and it is named superconvergent. Tables of a posteriori error bounds are given for two examples of the linear hyperbolic equations.
