Effect of awareness programs by media on the epidemic outbreaks: a mathematical model (Q2444291)

The authors propose a simple model in the form of ordinary differential equations to study the effect of media on the prevalence of infectious diseases. By analyzing the model in terms of the model dynamics, more precisely, by analyzing the biologically feasible equilibria of the model system and their stability, the authors conclude that the ``rate of exciting an awareness program has a substantial effect on the system'', particularly, they conclude that the sustained oscillation may arise when increasing the value of this rate to certain threshold.
