In this paper the author generalizes Mackey's construction of induced representations to the case of infinite dimensional Lie groups without the assumption of local compactness. A major difficulty is the absence of the Haar measure. To overcome this, the author extends representations using certain completions and considering quasi-invariant measures. This allows the author to define a proper analogue of induced representations which leads to the first steps of development of an analogue of Kirillov's orbit method for the (infinite dimensional) injective limit of the group \(G_{2n-1}\), where \(G_n\) stands for the group of upper triangular \(n\times n\) real matrices. This injective limit can be seen as upper triangular infinite in both directions matrices with finitely many nonzero entries. The paper also contains a summary of the classical results, some of which are given new proofs.
