The author studies the exact WKB analysis of a completely integrable system with a large parameter in two variables. It is proved that, under some geometric conditions, any integrable system in two variables of size 3 can be locally transformed to the so-called Pearcey system by an invertible WKB-theoretic transformation near a degenerate point where two turning points of different types coalesce.
