Let \(f(z)=\sum_{n=0}^\infty a_nz^n\) be a power series with complex coefficients and the radius of convergence \(R\) and let \(f_a(z)=\sum_{n=0}^\infty |a_n|z^n\). The authors generalize some inequalities for power series in one variable (see [\textit{S. S. Dragomir}, Linear Multilinear Algebra 61, No. 5, 617--626 (2013; Zbl 1275.47036)]) to those for functions defined by power series concerning two operators in two cases: the case when two operators commute and the case when two operators are arbitrary. One interesting inequality states that, if \(p>1\), \(\frac{1}{p}+\frac{1}{q}=1\) and \(A, B\) are two bounded linear operators on a Hilbert space satisfying \(\|A\|^p<R\) and \(\|B\|^q<R\), then \(\|f(AB)\|\leq f_a^{1/p}(\|A\|^p)f_a^{1/q}(\|B\|^q)\), where \(\|\cdot\|\) is the usual operator norm.
