Cohomology of affine Deligne-Lusztig varieties for \(\mathrm{GL}_2\) (Q2445015)

This paper studies affine Deligne-Lusztig varieties \(X_w(b)\) in the affine flag manifold of \(\mathrm{GL}_2\). The author determines explicitly all such varieties, up to isomorphism: there are 4 families depending on \(b\in \mathrm{GL}_2\). After this, he investigates the representations of the sigma-stabilizer of \(b\) on the étale cohomology of \(X_w(b)\). He describes such representations as inductions from compact subgroups and in terms of noncuspidal representations. The essential ingredient in the proof of this last result is the Frobenius reciprocity.
