(2003; Zbl 1027.05006)], this paper presents a new \(q\)-analogue of those bi\(^{s}\)nomial coefficients studied, e.g., by \textit{R. C. Bollinger} [Fibonacci Q. 24, 140--144 (1986; Zbl 0598.05011)] and by \textit{C. Smith} and \textit{V. E. Hoggatt jun.} [Fibonacci Q. 17, 58--67 (1979; Zbl 0406.05005)]. The authors remark the difference between their approach and the definition for the \(q\)-analogue of \textit{G. E. Andrews} and \textit{R. J. Baxter} [J. Stat. Phys. 47, No. 3--4, 297--330 (1987; Zbl 0638.10009)].
