Let \(\mathfrak{a}\) be an \(l\)-dimensional real Euclidian vector space and let \(\mathfrak a^\ast\) be the dual space of \(\mathfrak a.\) Let \(\mathfrak a^{\ast}_\mathbb C\) and \(\Sigma\) denote the complexifications and root system (with associated Weyl group) of \(\mathfrak a^{\ast},\) respectively. The positive Weyl chamber \(\mathfrak a^{+}\) consists of the elements \(x\in \mathfrak a\) for which \(\alpha(x)>0\) for all positive roots \(\alpha\) in \(\Sigma.\) This contribution deals with the Harish-Chandra expansion of the Heckman-Opdam hypergeometric function \({\varphi}_{\lambda}\) for all \(\lambda\in \mathfrak a^{\ast}_\mathbb{C}\). In particular, estimates for \({\varphi}_{\lambda}\) around arbitrary \(\lambda\in \mathfrak a^{\ast}_\mathbb C\) under assumption that \(x\in \mathfrak a^{+}\) is sufficiently far from the walls of \(\mathfrak a^{+}\) are deduced. The authors also find necessary and sufficient conditions for the boundedness of Heckman-Opdam hypergeometric functions. It should be pointed out that this result is a natural extension of the celebrated theorem of \textit{S. Helgason} and \textit{K. Johnson} [Adv. Math. 3, 586--593 (1969; Zbl 0188.45405)] characterizing the bounded spherical functions on a Riemannian symmetric space of noncompact type. Finally, they present some results on the \(L^p\)-harmonic analysis for the hypergeometric Fourier transform.
