The authors present an example of a concrete non-radical Banach function algebra and describe its maximal ideals. In particular, they define \(B_{zw}\) as the subspace of \(C^{(n)}_A= C^{(n)}(\overline{\mathbb D\times \mathbb D})\cap \mathrm{Hol}(\mathbb D\times \mathbb D)\) given by functions \(f(z,w)=F(zw)\) where \(F\) belongs to the disc algebra \(C_A(\mathbb D)\). This space, endowed with the norm \[ \|f\|_n= 2 \max \biggl\{ \max |\frac{\partial^{|\alpha|}f(z,w)}{\partial^{\alpha_1} z \partial^{\alpha_2} w}|: |\alpha|\in \{0,1,\dots, n\}\biggr\} \] and with the Duhamel multiplication defined by \[ (f*g)(z,w)= \frac{\partial^2}{\partial z \partial w} \int_0^z\int_0^w f(z-u,w-v)g(u,w)\,dv\,du, \] becomes a Banach algebra with unit and the maximal ideal space consist only in the evaluation at zero. Also, some considerations on the Hardy type operator \(f\to xy\int_0^x\int_0^y f(t,s)\,dt\,ds\) for functions in \(L^p([0,1]\times [0,1])\) are presented.
