Let \(X\) be a nonempty set, \(S\) a commutative semigroup acting on \(X\) and let \((x,\varphi)\sim (y, \psi)\) (an equivalence relation in \(X\times S\)) if \(\psi x=\varphi y\). Elements of \(\mathcal{B}(X,S)=(X\times S)/\sim\) are called pseudoquotients. Let \(\iota: X\rightarrow \mathcal{B}(X,S)\) be the map defined by \(\iota(x)=(\varphi x,\varphi)\), where \(\varphi\) is an arbitrary element of \(S\). The action of \(S\) can be extended to \(\mathcal{B}(X,S)\) by \(\varphi (x,\psi)=(\varphi x,\psi)\). Let \(A\) be a commutative Banach algebra with involution, \(\mathcal{P}(A)\) the set of all positive linear functionals on \(A\) and \(\mathcal{M}_+(\mathcal{A})\) the set of all positive Radon measures on the set \(\mathcal{A}\) of all multiplicative linear functionals on \(A\). Sufficient conditions for a nonunital commutative Banach algebra \(A\) with a bounded approximate identity and an isometric and symmetric involution are given in order that there exists a bijection from \(\mathcal{B}(\mathcal{P}(A),S)\) to \(\mathcal{M}_+(\mathcal{A})\). Examples of commutative Banach algebras in which these conditions are satisfied are considered.
