A base \(\mathcal B\) for a topological space is Nötherianly locally-finite if for every cover \(\mathcal U\subset\mathcal B\) the family \(\{B\in\mathcal U \mid B \text{ is maximal in } \mathcal U\}\) is a locally-finite cover of \(X\). For a Hausdorff space having a Nötherianly locally-finite base is hereditary. It is also shown that each of the properties protometrisable, having a Nötherianly locally-finite base and having a monotone locally-finite operator implies the next but examples are given showing that the reverse implications fail. A \(T_3\) space with a Nötherianly locally-finite base is monotonically normal.
