This paper is concerned with rational algebraic models of function spaces. If \(f: X\to Y\) is a map between simply connected spaces, the author starts with a rational Lie model of \(f\), \(\overline{f}: (\mathbb L(V),\partial)\to \mathbb L(W),\delta)\), where \(\partial\) has only linear and quadratic parts. The quadratic part gives a map \(\overline{\Delta}: sV\to sV\otimes sV\) which generates a codiagonal \(\Delta: (\mathbb Q\oplus sV)\to (\mathbb Q\oplus sV)\otimes (\mathbb Q\oplus sV)\). Denote by \([-,-]\) the Lie bracket on \(\mathbb L(W)\). One defines a Lie bracket on \(\mathrm{Hom}(\mathbb Q\oplus sV,\mathbb L(W))\) by \([\alpha,\beta]=[-,-]\circ (\alpha\otimes\beta)\circ\Delta\). The main result of this work is that \(\mathrm{Hom}(\mathbb Q\oplus sV,\mathbb L(W))\), endowed with the obvious differential, is a Lie model of the connected component of \(f\) in the function space \(\mathrm{Hom}(X,Y)\).
