Noncommutative geometry in its original formulation provides a significant generalization of Riemannian differential geometry. For physical applications, Lorentzian geometry is preferred rather than the Riemannian one. The casual structure is one of the most important elements of Lorentzian geometry which is absent in Riemannian theory. The casual structure is a partial order relation defined between the points of a Lorentzian manifold. It plays a crucial part in determining which of the space-time events can be linked by physical signals. The generalization of the casual structure to noncommutative space is not straightforward due to the lack of events (points) there. Possible counterparts of points in noncommutative geometry are pure states on algebras. The purpose of the paper under review is to investigate the properties of generalized casual structures for a class of noncommutative spaces described by almost commutative geometries.
