The ``modified mod \(p\) local Langlands correspondence'' in the title refers to the Langlands correspondence introduced in [\textit{M. Emerton} and \textit{D. Helm}, ``The local Langlands correspondence for \(\mathrm{GL}_n\) in families'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1104.0321}] which differs from the correspondence of \textit{M.-F. Vignéras} [Invent. Math. 144, No. 1, 177--223 (2001; Zbl 1031.11068)]. Let \(p \neq \ell\) be primes. Let \(F\) be a finite extension of \(\mathbb{Q}_\ell\) and \(k\) a finite field of characteristic \(p\). The modified mod \(p\) local Langlands correspondence is an association \(\bar{\rho} \mapsto \bar{\pi}(\bar{\rho})\), where \(\bar{\rho}:G_F \to \mathrm{GL}_n(k)\) is a continuous \(n\)-dimensional representation of the absolute Galois group of \(F\), and \(\bar{\pi}(\bar{\rho})\) is a finite length indecomposable smooth representation of \(\mathrm{GL}_n(F)\). The modified mod \(p\) local Langlands correspondence admits a completely concrete description for \(n = 2\) and odd \(p\); some cases are discussed in the paper of Emerton and Helm. The paper under review gives an explicit description of the correspondence in some more difficult cases and thus completes the description of the modified mod \(p\) local Langlands correspondence for \(\mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Q}_\ell)\) and odd \(p\).
