    Let \((Z,\rho)\) be a metric space and let \(T_i: Z\rightarrow Z\), \(i=0,1,\dots\), be a family of nonexpansive mappings, i.e., \[ \rho (T_i x, T_i y)\leq \rho(x,y), \text{ for all } x,y\in Z; \;i=0,1,\dots \] Let \(F\) be a nonempty, bounded and closed subset of \(Z\) which is invariant with respect to \(T_i\), for all \(i=0,1,\dots\), that is, \[ T_i(F)\subset F \text{ for all } i=0,1,\dots \] If we denote by \(\mathcal{R}\) a nonempty set of mappings \(r: \{0,1,\dots\} \rightarrow \{0,1,\dots\}\) satisfying certain appropriate conditions, the main results of the paper (Theorems 2.1 and 2.2) have conclusions of the following form: There exists \(\overline{\delta} > 0\) such that, for each \(\varepsilon>0\) and each sequence \[ \{\delta_i\}_{i=0}^{\infty}\subset (0,\overline{\delta}] \text{ such that } \lim_{i\rightarrow} \delta_i =0, \] there exists a \(n_0\) such that, for each \(r\in \mathcal{R}\) and each sequence \(\{x_i\}_{i=0}^{\infty}\subset Z\) satisfying \[ \rho(x_{i+1},T_{r(i)} x_i)\leq \delta_i, \;i=0,1,\dots, \] one has \(\rho(x_n,F)<\varepsilon\) for all \(n\geq n_0\).
