Summary: The study of the basic model for incompressible two-phase flows with phase transitions in the case of equal densities, initiated in the paper \textit{J. Prüss} et al. [Evol. Equ. Control Theory 1, No. 1, 171--194, (2012; Zbl 1302.76066)], is continued here with a stability analysis of equilibria and results on asymptotic behaviour of global solutions. The results parallel those for the thermodynamically consistent Stefan problem with surface tension obtained in \textit{J. Prüss} [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 207, No. 2, 611--667 (2013; Zbl 1269.80004)].
