The authors proved some cases of the ``Conjecture on the intersection with torsion varieties'', stating that a weak-transverse variety \(V\) in an abelian variety has dense and open intersection \(V \cap V^{\mathrm{ta}}\) with the complement \(V^{\mathrm{ta}}\) of the \(V\)-torsion anomalous varieties. In the previous statement we refer to \(V\)-torsion anomalous as the irreducible components \(Y\) of intersections of the form \(B + \eta \cap V\), where \(B\) is a subgroup and \(\eta\) is a torsion point; with the extra property of having a dimension higher than expected \[ \operatorname{codim}(Y) < \operatorname{codim}(V) + \operatorname{codim}(B). \] The authors worked the case of highest possible dimension for \(V\)-torsion anomalous demonstrating that \(V\)-torsion anomalous varieties of relative codimension one are non-dense in any weak-transverse \(V\) embedded in the product \(E^N\) of elliptic curves with CM. The main ingredients of the proof are: 1) The \textit{S.-W. Zhang}'s inequality relating the essential minimum and the height of a variety [Ann. Math. (2) 147, No. 1, 159--165 (1998; Zbl 0991.11034)]. 2) The arithmetic Bezout theorem by \textit{P. Philippon} [Math. Ann. 289, No. 2, 255--283 (1991; Zbl 0726.14017)]. 3) The effective Bogomolov bound by authors providing an effective lower bound for the essential minimum of translate varieties in the product of elliptic curves [New York J. Math. 18, 891--910 (2012; Zbl 1276.11099)]. 4) An effective relative Lehmer result by \textit{M. Carrizosa} given a lower bound for the canonical height of points on minimal torsion subvarieties in \(E^N\), where \(E\) is CM [Int. Math. Res. Not. 2009, No. 16, 3016--3097 (2009; Zbl 1176.11025)]. The main result of the paper is the following effective theorem: Theorem: Let \(V\) be a weak-transverse variety in the product \(E^N\) of elliptic curves with CM defined over a number field \(k\). Then the maximal \(V\)-torsion anomalous varieties \(Y\) of relative codimension one are finitely many. In addition, the degrees and normalized heights of the varieties \(Y\) can explicitly bounded. Based on the previous theorem, the authors also obtained a bound for the height of the set of points belonging to a curve \(C\) and a group \(\Gamma\) of rank one as \(\operatorname{End}(E)\)-module, with implications to the solution of some cases of Mordell-Lang.
