The paper under review proves that the \(\text{SU}(2)\) Witten--Reshetikhin--Turaev (WRT) invariant at any root of unity of any 3-manifold with any coloured link inside it is an algebraic integer. This had previously been known for roots of unity of prime order [\textit{H. Murakami}, Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 117, No. 2, 237--249 (1995; Zbl 0854.57016)]; [\textit{G. Masbaum} and \textit{J. D. Roberts}, ibid. 121, No. 3, 443--454 (1997; Zbl 0882.57010)] and for integral homology \(3\)--spheres at all roots of unity [\textit{K. Habiro}, Invent. Math. 171, No. 1, 1--81 (2008; Zbl 1144.57006)]. The main tools are Theorem 3.2 which is a generalization of a divisibility result of \textit{T. T. Q. LĂȘ} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 360, No. 6, 2941--2963 (2008; Zbl 1146.57020)], and Theorem 2.1 which generalizes a diagonalization result of Habiro. As a corollary, the authors offer a new proof of the integrality of \(\text{SO}(3)\) WRT invariants at odd roots of unity, first proven by the first and third author in [Compos. Math. 143, No. 6, 1593-1612 (2007; Zbl 1138.57014)].
