The paper concerns the notion of weak o-minimality introduced by \textit{M. A. Dickmann} [J. Symb. Log. 52, 116--128 (1987; Zbl 0624.03025)] and originally deeply studied by \textit{D. Macpherson} et al. [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 352, No. 12, 5435--5483 (2000; Zbl 0982.03021)]. The authors study the intermediate value property (IVP) in weakly o-minimal structures and show that strongly continuous definable functions satisfy an extended version of IVP. They also obtain some results concerning the notion of weak definable connectedness. At last they prove that in a weakly o-minimal structure with cell decomposition property every definable function has no dense graph.
