In this paper, a class of parabolically extended structures for relatively hyperbolic groups is introduced and characterized. We give here a summary of the main results. Let \(G\) be a countable group with a finite collection of subgroups \(\mathbb H=\{H_i\}_{i\in I}\). Then the collection \(\mathbb H\) is referred as a \textit{peripheral structure} for \(G\). If \(\mathbb P=\{P_j\}_{j\in J}\) is another peripheral structure for \(G\) and for any \(i\in I\), there exists \(j\in J\) such that \(H_i\subseteq P_j\), then we say that \(\mathbb P\) is an extension of \(\mathbb H\). If further, both \((G,\mathbb H)\) and \((G,\mathbb P)\) are relatively hyperbolic, then \(\mathbb P\) is called a \textit{parabolic extension} of \(\mathbb H\). The first result of the paper says that if \((G,\mathbb H)\) is relatively hyperbolic and \(\mathbb P\) is an extension of \(\mathbb H\), then \((G,\mathbb P)\) is relatively hyperbolic if and only if all \(P\in\mathbb P\) satisfy the following conditions: 1) \(P\) is relatively quasi-convex with respect to \(\mathbb H\). 2) \(P\) is weakly malnormal (i.e. \(P\cap P^g\) is finite for all \(g\in G\setminus P\)). 3) \(P^g\cap P'\) is finite for any \(g\in G\) and \(P'\in\mathbb P\) with \(P'\neq P\). The second result is concerned with relatively quasi-convex subgroups in the relatively hyperbolic group \((G,\mathbb H)\). It says that if \(\mathbb P\) is a parabolic extension of \(\mathbb H\), then relatively quasi-convex subgroups in \((G,\mathbb H)\) are also relatively quasi-convex in \((G,\mathbb P)\). A necessary and sufficient condition for the converse of this statement is also given. The last result is about the action of a relatively hyperbolic group on its Floyd boundary. It is proved that if \((G,\mathbb H)\) is relatively hyperbolic group, then \(G\) acts geometrically finitely on its Floyd boundary \(\partial_fG\) if and only if each \(H\in\mathbb H\) acts geometrically finitely on the limit set of its action on \(\partial_fG\). The paper ends with some conjectures and open problems.
