The paper addresses the proof of the existence and uniqueness for a linear problem based on the second-order operator, that appears in equations for magnetic fields. The problem is considered in spaces of dimension \(n\geq 3\), for electric and magnetic potentials belonging to class \(L^{\infty}\). In fact, this may be considered as an inverse problem which aims to restored the electric and magnetic potentials which generated given fields at the boundary. The existence is proven for regions with appropriate boundary data, for which special smoothness is not necessary. The proof is based on geometric-optics considerations and the Carleman estimate.
