A so-called generalized model with a \(\mathrm{SU}(3)\)-invariant \(R\)-matrix is considered. A generalization is in the sense that the Hilbert space of the system is not prescribed explicitly. The nested Bethe Ansatz is reviewed as well as the sum formula for the scalar product between generic Bethe vectors. The relation with the domain wall partition function of the six-vertex model is established. Using this fact, a new expression for the off-shell scalar product is obtained.
