Let \(R\) be a commutative ring with identity. For an \(R\)-module \(M\) we say \(M\) has Nakayama property, if \(IM = M\), where \(I\) is an ideal of \(R\), implies that there exists \(a\in R\) such that \(aM = 0\) and \(a - 1\in I\) (see [\textit{A. Azizi}, Glasg. Math. J. 52, No. 3, 605--617 (2010; Zbl 1204.13010)]). The classical Nakayama's Lemma says that every finitely generated \(R\)-module has Nakayama property. In the paper under review the authors say that an \(R\)-module \(M\) satisfies the weak Nakayama property, if \(IM = M\), where \(I\) is an ideal of \(R\), implies that for any \(x\in M\) there exists \(a\in I\) such that \((a - 1)x = 0\). As the main result they show that if \(R\) is a local ring, then \(R\) is a Max ring if and only if \(J(R)\), the Jacobson radical of \(R\), is T-nilpotent if and only if every \(R\)-module satisfies the weak Nakayama property.
