Multiple Geronimus transformations (Q2451705)

The authors consider multiple Geronimus transformations involving an arbitrary polynomial \(h\). In particular, a symmetric bilinear form is obtained so that the operator of multiplication with \(h\) is symmetric. The corresponding sequences of monic polynomials are studied. An interpretation of the matrix associated with the multiplication by \(h\) operator is also given. Finally, a connection between such factorizations and block Jacobi matrices associated with matrix orthogonal polynomials deduced from Sobolev-type orthogonal polynomials is established.
