A construction of the \(B\)-completion of a \(T_0\)-quasi-metric space (Q2451995)

The author jointly with C. Makitu Kivuvu has constructed the so-called \(B\)-completion of a \(T_0\)-quasi-metric space \((X,d)\). In this paper, the author presents a new construction of the completion, inside the injective hull of \((X,d)\), and investigates the connection between the \(B\)-completion of \(T_0\)-quasi-metric spaces and the Dedekind-MacNeille completion of partially ordered sets. In particular, he shows that the \(B\)-completion of the natural \(T_0\)-quasi-metric of a bounded partially ordered set can be described by the Dedekind-MacNeille completion of that poset.
