We assume that all spaces and maps have been localized at a fixed odd prime \(p\). Recall the well-known James splitting \(\Sigma\Omega\Sigma X\simeq \bigvee_{k\geq 0}\Sigma X^{\wedge k}\). This result was generalized by \textit{S. D. Theriault} [Can. J. Math. 55, No. 1, 181--203 (2003; Zbl 1028.55009)] to the case of \(\Sigma\Omega Y\) with a coassociative co-\(H\) space \(Y\), and recently Grbić-Theriault-Wu [\textit{J. Grbić} et al., Proc. R. Soc. Edinb., Sect. A, Math. 144, No. 1, 87--108 (2014; Zbl 1296.55011)] showed that this result also holds for a non coassociative co-\(H\) spaces \(Y\), too. In this paper the authors try to obtain a finer stable splitting of \(\Omega Y\) when \(Y\) is a co-\(H\) space with \(2\)-cells in dimensions \(m+1\) and \(n+1\) \((m<n\)). In fact, they obtain the explicit finer homotopy splitting of the space \(\Sigma\Omega Y\) if \(m+n\) is odd, and they also prove that \(\Omega Y\) contains the space \(\Omega \big( \bigvee_{k=0}^{\infty}\Sigma^{km+n}Y\big)\) as the homotopy direct summand if \(m\) is even and \(n\) is odd. Moreover, by using this they can give another proof of the homotopy splitting of the loop space of the mod \(p^r\) Moore space originally obtained by Cohen-Moore-Neisendorfer in [\textit{F. R. Cohen} et al., Ann. Math. (2) 109, 121--168 (1979; Zbl 0405.55018)].
