Using variational methods based on the critical point theory and suitable truncation and comparison techniques, the authors investigate multiplicity and nonexistence of positive solutions for the boundary value problem \(-\Delta_p u(x)+ \beta(x)|u(x)|^{p-2}u(x) = f(x,u(x),\lambda)\) in a bounded domain \(\Omega \subset \mathbb R^N\), \(\frac{\partial u}{\partial n_p}=0\) on \(\partial \Omega\). Here, \(\Delta_p\) denotes the \(p\)-Laplace operator, \(\frac{\partial}{\partial n_p}\) the generalized outward normal derivative, \(\lambda>0\) a spectral type parameter.
