Analytical validation of a continuum model for epitaxial growth with elasticity on vicinal surfaces (Q2453508)

In this paper the authors formulate the notion of weak solutions to Xiang's continuum model in terms of a variational inequality which is satisfied by strong solutions. A number of theorems and lemmas are derived for the solution, convergence and stability of the solutions. No numerical experiments are given for illustration.
