The authors propose a coarse space construction based on Generalized Eigen-problems in the Overlap. The major theoretical advance, with respect to some previously related works is that their analysis applies to practical choices of the discrete approximation space. Numerical experiments are presented on Darcy and linear elasticity problems with highly varying coefficients.
