Ergodic measures of SRB attractors (Q2454947)

The author considers ergodic invariant measures on Sinai-Ruelle-Bowen attractors for a \(C^{2}\)-diffeomorphism~\(f\). It is proved that a certain unique nonuniform shadowing property holds. If there exists a strong mixing Sinai-Ruelle-Bowen measure then the measures with entropy zero are dense in the set of all invariant measures with support in the Pesin set. Moreover, also the measures with positive entropy which do not satisfy the Sinai-Ruelle-Bowen condition neither for~\(f\) nor for~\(f^{-1}\) are dense. Furthermore it is proved that there is a unique ergodic measure satisfying the Sinai-Ruelle-Bowen condition. The paper is not always well organized, e.g.\ on page~267 it is stated that \(f\) satisfies the uniformly shadowing property before this property is defined.
