In [Constructive Approximation 2, 331--337 (1986; Zbl 0619.41013)] \textit{E. van Wickeren} obtained a Stechkin-Marchaud type inequality for Bernstein operators. In the present paper the authors prove a similar result in weighted approximation (with Jacobi weights) for Bernstein operators using a Ditzian-Totik type weighted modulus of smoothness of second order with Jacobi weights.
