The authors are concerned with the stability of a skew-product semiflow induced by a family of delay differential equations. The study of the existence of a global exponentially attracting solution is reduced to the study of the uniform asymptotic stability of the trivial solution of a quasi-monotone nonautonomous linear system associated with the original delay equation. Characterization of exponentially stable minimal subsets is provided. In the linear case, relationships between the exponential stability of the trivial solution, the Lyapunov exponent, the Sacker-Sell spectrum, and the growth of solutions are explored. Systems of nonautonomous equations with time-varying delays that model cellular neutral networks are studied. The existence of a global exponentially attracting solution is deduced from the uniform asymptotic stability of the trivial solution of the associated nonautonomous linear system under certain regularity assumptions on interconnection matrices, activation functions, and delays.
