Let \(\triangle_1\) be the Hodge Laplacian acting on differential \(1\)-forms on the \((2n+1)\)-dimensional Heisenberg group. Under the assumption that \(m\) is a Mikhlin-Hörmander multiplier on the positive half-line, with \(L^2\)-order of smoothness greater than \(n+1/2\), the authors establish the \(L^p\)-boundedness of \(m( \triangle_1)\) for \(1<p<\infty\). The approach leads to an explicit description of the spectral decomposition of \(\triangle_1\) on the space of \(L^2\)-forms in terms of the spectral analysis of the sub-Laplacian \(L\) and the central derivative \(T\), acting on scalar-valued functions. The proofs heavily rely on the results of \textit{D. Müller, F. Ricci} and \textit{E. M. Stein} [Invent. Math. 119, 199--233 (1995; Zbl 0857.43012); Math. Z. 221, 267--291 (1996; Zbl 0863.43001)].
