    The Stokes resolvent problem is studied in a domain \(\Omega\subset\mathbb R^n\), \(n\geq 2\), where \(\Omega\) is equal to \(\mathbb R^n\), \(\mathbb R^n_+\) or a bounded domain with smooth boundary. It is proved that for every \(0<\varepsilon<\frac{\pi}{2}\) the sector \[ \Sigma_\varepsilon=\{\lambda\in C:\;\lambda\neq 0,\;| \text{arg}\,\lambda| <\pi-\varepsilon\} \] belongs to the resolvent set of Stokes operator \(-A_{q,\omega}\) and the estimate holds \[ \| \lambda(\lambda+A_{q,\omega})^{-1}f\|\leq C\| f\| \] for all \(f\) from the weighted Muckenhoupt space \(L^q_{\omega,\sigma}(\Omega)\). Here \(\omega\) is a weight function of Mucken\-houpt class \(A_q\), \(1<q<\infty\). This result is applied to the nonstationary Stokes problem \[ \frac{\partial v}{\partial t}+A_{q,\omega}\,v=f,\quad t>0,\quad x\in \Omega, \quad v(x,0)=0.\tag{1} \] The maximal \(L^p\)-regularity in \(X=L^q_{\omega,\sigma}(\Omega)\) is proved, i.e. for every \(f\in L^p(R_+,X)\) the mild solution of the problem (1) satisfies the estimate \[ \| v_t\|_{L^p(R_+,X)}+\| A_{q,\omega}\,v\|_{L^p(R_+,X)}\leq C\| f\|_{L^p(R_+,X)}. \] Part I, cf. the author, J.
