Let \(S_\ell\) be a Riemannian hyperbolic surface degenerating to a cuspidal surface \(S_0\) by pinching a closed geodesic \(c_\ell\). A common topic is the convergence of geometric invariants on \(S_\ell\) along the pinching: Laplace-Beltrami spectrum [\textit{B. Colbois} and \textit{G. Courtois}, Comment. Math. Helv. 64, No. 3, 349--362 (1989; Zbl 0684.53040)], quadratic differential forms [\textit{S. Wolpert}, Invent. Math. 108, 67--89, 91--129 (1992; Zbl 0629.58029; Zbl 0772.11016)], Selberg zeta-function [\textit{S. A. Wolpert}, Commun. Math. Phys. 112, 283--315 (1987; Zbl 0772.11017)]. Here the author handles Kudla-Millson 1-differential forms \(\Theta_\ell(s)\) associated to the geodesic \(c_\ell\) [\textit{S. Kudla} and \textit{J. Millson}, Invent. Math. 54, 193--211 (1979; Zbl 0429.30038)]. The core of the paper proves convergence results for rescaled 1-differentials \(\Theta_\ell(s)\). In the case when \(c_\ell\) is homologically non trivial, the surface \(S_0\) is connected with two cusps \(p\) and \(q\) and the author proves the asymptotic \[ \frac{2k(s)}{\ell^{1+s}}{\Theta_\ell(s)}\sim_{\ell\to 0}{\mathcal E}_p(s+1)-{\mathcal E}_q(s+1),\quad\Re s>0,\tag{\(*\)} \] where \(k(s)\) is the Gamma factors product \(k(s)=\sqrt{\pi}\Gamma((1+s)/2)/\Gamma(1+s/2)\) and \({\mathcal E}_C(s)\) denotes the horocyclic Maass-Eisenstein series of weight 2 (e.g 1-differentials) induced by the cusp \(C\). The convergence is valid uniformly on every compact of \(S_0\), naturally identified to a compact in \(S_\ell\setminus c_\ell\) when \(\ell\to 0\). Similar convergences hold when \(S_0\) is not connected. Moreover, by studying the meromorphic extension w.r.t. the parameter \(s\) of the convergence \((*)\), the author relates periods of the harmonic forms \(\Theta_\ell(0)\) and \({\mathcal E}_{p}(1)-{\mathcal E}_{q}(1)\).
