This paper deals with the study of a general form of the current-phase relation for superconducting junctions. The authors are concerned with a general asymmetric two-junction device, whose junctions have different critical temperatures, coherence lengths and normal resistances. The study is restricted to the overdamped two-junction superconducting quantum interference devices and it is assumed a white noise current in the Langevin equation of the RSJ model. The authors also provide some considerations together with a brief comparison between the results of their formulation and results of the extended IZAM theory.
