The authors study a certain class of generating functions introduced by Andrews, called\break \(J_{k,i}(a,x,q)\). They give a combinatorial interpretation of these functions in terms of overpartitions defined by multiplicity conditions on the parts. For some special choices of \(a\), \(x\), and \(q\), these generating functions can be expressed as infinite products, recovering results of Andrews, Gordon, and the reviewer. They give three more combinatorial interpretations of the special case \(J_{k,i}(a,1,q)\). These interpretations are in terms of overpartitions with bounded successive ranks, overpartitions with restricted Durfee dissections, and certain lattice paths. Bijections between the lattice paths and the other three objects corresponding to \(J_{k,i}(a,1,q)\) are presented. This generalizes earlier partition-theoretic work of Andrews, Bressoud, and Burge.
