The definition of hyperfunctions for boundary values of monogenic or holomorphic functions in several quaternionic or vector variables brings some serious difficulties in contrast to the one-dimensional theory. The authors develop a completely new approach to this problem, in this paper they deal only with two quaternionic variables. A decisive step is the definition of so called megaforms for the two-dimensional Cauchy-Fueter system, a new notion of differential forms. Then they succeed to define hyperfunctions on a certain five-dimensional variety in \(\mathbb{H}^2\) as boundary values of holomorphic functions in two quaternionic variables. The last section contains a generalization to the case of Dirac operators.
