Let \(R\) be a matrix algebra over an algebraically closed field of characteristic \(\neq 2\). Consider a grading of \(R\) by a finite Abelian group. The authors describe the graded involutions of \(R\), i.e. involutions of the algebra \(R\) for which the homogeneous components of \(R\) are invariant under the involution. The paper also corrects a result from \textit{Y. A. Bahturin, I. P. Shestakov} and \textit{M. V. Zaicev} [J. Algebra 283, No. 2, 849-868 (2005; Zbl 1066.17018)] about graded involutions of a \(G\)-graded matrix algebra \(R\) over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero such that \(\text{supp}(R)\) generates \(G\).
