    A \(G\)-interval \(\widetilde X\) is defined by \(\widetilde X= x_0+ \sum^m_{i=1} x_i\xi_i\), \(\xi_i\in [-1, 1]\), i.e., it represents a compact standard interval \(X\) in affine form. For two \(G\)-intervals \(\widetilde X\), \(\widetilde Y\) a multiplication and conditions are given such that the product \(\widetilde Z= \widetilde X\cdot\widetilde Y\) is a \(G\)-interval whose corresponding standard interval \(Z\) has smallest width.
