Periodic boundary value problems of integro-differential equation of Volterra type on time scales (Q2460387)

The authors prove a new comparison result and develop the monotone iterative technique to show the existence of extremal solutions of the following periodic boundary value problems of nonlinear integro-differential equation on time scales \[ x^{\Delta}(t)=f\left(t,x,\int_{0}^{t}k(t,s)x(s)\Delta s\right), \quad t\in J:=[0,a],\qquad x(0)=x(\sigma(a)), \] \(f:J\times\mathbb R\times\mathbb R\to\mathbb R\), \(k:J\times J\to\mathbb R\) are continuous functions.
