Let \(A \subset \mathbb {CP}^3\) be a smooth quartic surface containing no line. Let \(F\) be the set of all its bitangent lines. In this case \(F\) is a smooth surface. If \(A\) is real, then \(F\) is real. In this case the author computes many cohomological invariants (e.g. the Euler characteristic) of its real part \(\mathbb {R}F\). He uses double covering, Smith exact sequence and generalization (a topic in which he is a master).
