Automatic continuity of homomorphisms between Banach algebras and Fréchet algebras (Q2460749)

By using the technique introduced by \textit{T. J. Ransford} in [Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 21, No. 5, 487--488 (1989; Zbl 0705.46028)], the author studies the automatic continuity of epimorphisms between Fréchet algebras. As a consequence, it is shown that every epimorphism from a Banach algebra onto a semisimple Fréchet algebra is continuous. The continuity of homomorphism with dense range between Fréchet algebras is also studied.
