The authors provide examples of well-posed Cauchy problems for the second order hyperbolic operator \(P=D_t^2-D_x H(x,t) D_x\). Here, \(H\) is a given function satisfying some constraints. In studying well-posedness in Gevrey classes of order \(N\) the authors provide for any given \(N\) an example of a function \(H\), depending on \(t\) as well as on \(x\), which leads to well-posedness.
